With less than a week remaining in the CoinPoker pot-limit Omaha Cash Game World Championship, last week’s leader ‘godfromstock’ holds what looks to be an insurmountable lead.
The anonymous grinder’s cushion is larger than the point total of ‘cumincon,’ who currently sits in third. There isn’t much
Finalists Heading Into Final Week
In the last week, ‘godfromstock’ was all gas, no brakes. He logged 11,663 hands for an additional $69,000 of profit. Since he ran close to expectation, he added an incredible 17,630 points to his total. His closest competitor is 8,132.20 points behind him.
‘venom2’ joined the top 10 this week, and has a state line with begs for attention. He’s below average in hands, with just 21,687 for the entire competition. However, he’s running well above expectation with $125,105 in winnings. On the other hand, his adjusted expected winnings are just $76,197.63.
‘cumicon’ had a brutal stretch over the last week, losing close to $50,000 over 11,172. He’s in third, but is down $59,748.89. It’s an epic level of run bad, with his adjusted EV BB sitting at $63,592.36, good for a $120,000 spread between expected and actual winnings. Additionally, he has the added pressure of having four players on his heels, and within 1,500 points.
Only two other players in the top 100 have the the distinction of being down five-figures. ‘jablinski is’ -$23,083 and ‘MrainerWinkler’ is $19,393 in the red.
Volume players ‘ZaGeZ’ is in fifth place with an incredible 87,839 hands, and ‘lmf42’ sits in 60th with 60,894 hands. ‘SoyBoy2023’ lost his spot in the top 10, but continued to grind and has 78,705 hands in the contest.
‘KaskaGrrossa’ took the patient approach and only played slightly more than 900 hands in the last week. He’s up to 6,975 hands, less than half of any player in the top 10, to earn $42,898.57 and improve to fifth-place. Needless to say, he is one of the several high-stakes players near the top of the leaderboard.
What They’re Playing For
