In poker, most of the attention last month was on the millions of dollars guaranteed in online poker festivals like the Global Online Poker Championship. However, last month, like most months, it was the nosebleed cash players who boasted the highest profits online.

In the High Stakes Round-Up, we take a look at the biggest winners, biggest pots and the biggest coolers that take place every day at CoinPoker. The stakes get as high as $500-$1,000 regularly at the no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, as well as the five and six-card pot-limit Omaha varieties, with some of the best players in the world competing.

They are becoming quite the spectator sport, and if you want to rail these yourself, all you have to do is open up CoinPoker and click on the VIP Arena.

The Biggest Pot Of The Week

There are coolers, there are pot-limit Omaha coolers, and then there are five-card pot-limit Omaha coolers.

“sammyjazzykins” was on the unfortunate end of an incredibly unlucky hand at the heads-up $500-$1,000 PLO5 tables. He got his money in about as good as you can in this game, with Aces and the nut flush draw against middle pair, the second nut flush draw and a gutshot. He was a 65.45% favorite when all the money went in the middle of the table against “GucciNIKE” and then, when they agreed to run it twice, this happened…

GucciNIKE managed to hit trips in the first runout and a runner-runner boat in the second one to scoop the biggest pot of the week, one worth $547,671.

The Sickest Hands Of The Week

The biggest pots these days are always in pot-limit Omaha, but that doesn’t mean you don’t see spectacular things in the no-limit hold’em streets. The largest no-limit hold’em pot was this $138k cooler of coolers that nobody is getting away from…

Linus Does Linus Things…

The second-biggest pot this week involved a regular fixture in the “sickest pot” rankings, “LLinusLLove.”

Well played to “CamiloV” for not backing down there. If you have been recently following the no-limit hold’em action, you will know that these two have been battling each other a lot lately.

As for an explanation as to why Linus took an unusual line with ace-high there, the following hand might help explain. It wasn’t the biggest no-limit pot of the week, but it certainly got people talking. This amazing call down from the player who could be the best in the world at no-limit hold’em cash games.

High Stakes Nostalgia

The high-stakes games at CoinPoker really have felt like the early days of nosebleed poker at Rail Heaven. If you have no idea what we’re referring to there, or if you just want to take a trip down memory lane, it’s interesting to take a look at what high-stakes poker used to be like.

2 Months 2 Million was arguably the first-ever piece of high-stakes influencer content in poker. Four college-dropouts-turned-poker-professionals, Jay Rosenkrantz, Dani Stern, Brian Roberts and Emil Patel, self-funded this documentary/reality TV-style show where they all locked themselves in an apartment together for two months and attempted to win $2 million between them.

If you can take the grainy footage, it really is a fascinating insight into what online poker was like in the early days.

The Biggest Winners This Week

When you win a $500k PLO pot by outdrawing your opponent twice in two runouts, you have no excuse not to be the biggest winner of the week, and that’s exactly what GucciNIKE was. He ended the week up $1,275,031, which is a relatively common occurrence for him. These are the biggest cash game winners this week:
