The third night of a scheduled week of livestreamed High Stakes Poker produced some big clashes on the felt. The $200-$400 no-limit cash game featured a series of coolers that resulted in six-figure losses for three of the game’s six players.
Tournament crusher Sam Soverel ended the night as the big winner, turning his $100,000 buy-in into $389,900. He was joined in the black by fellow high roller Chino Rheem, and film producer Randall Emmett, whose excitable outbursts made the highlight reel.
After winning a three-way all in towards the end of the session, Emmett proclaimed, “I beat the wizards! This fucking fish!”
The biggest loser was high-stakes gambler Rick Salomon, who was down $163,700 by the end of the night. Dean Geistlinger, a music executive credited with discovering Eminem, and Hollywood director Nick Cassavetes both lost their $100,000 buy in and opted not to reload.

Soverel Felts Two Players
With Geistlinger straddling to $800 with A♣6♣, Cassavetes came in with 3♠3♥ and Emmett called with 7♥6♦ behind him. Salomon then raised to $4,000 with K♣10♥, and Soverel called with J♦J♣ from the small blind.
Everyone called, and the flop came down J♠9♣3♣.
“Oh my god!” said Remko Rinkema from the broadcast booth.
“We have set over set and the nut flush draw… buckle up!” added Donnie Peters.
Cassavetes bet $7,000. Emmett and Salomon folded, but Soverel quickly raised to $28,000. Geistlinger thought it over for a bit before shoving for $81,400, and Cassavetes didn’t waste much time moving all in himself for $117,000.
Soverel snap called to bring the overall pot to $335,900 and his hand held on two runouts as the board completed 7♠5♥ and 4♥A♦.

One Outer Saves Salomon
Playing four-handed, Emmett raised to $2,700 with Q♥Q♦. Salomon called with 5♥5♦, and Soverel defended his straddle with J♠6♣.
The flop fell Q♣5♠4♣, and Emmett checked. Salomon bet $3,000, and Soverel folded. Emmett surprised viewers by jamming for $37,800, and Salomon quickly called.
They opted to run it twice, and Salomon was able to hit his one outer as the first board completed 7♣5♣. With no more outs remaining for Salomon, Emmett took the second board and the two players chopped the pot.

Emmett Fades A Ton Of Outs
Soverel raised the button to $2,000 with 6♦3♥, and Rheem called from the small blind with 5♥5♦. Emmett called with 10♠8♣, and Salomon defended his straddle with A♦9♦.
The flop was J♦9♠5♣, and everyone quickly checked. The turn was the 7♦, and Rheem bet $5,000. Emmett raised to $20,000 with his turned straight, and Salomon called with his pair and nut flush draw.
Soverel folded, and Rheem raised to $50,000. Emmett called all in for $45,700 total, and Salomon called.
The river was the A♣, and Rheem bet another $25,000. Salomon reluctantly called with his two pair, giving Rheem the side pot. But the main pot of $145,100 went to Emmett, who began celebrating his triple up.
“Fuck yes! I beat the fucking wizards! I am the best!” Emmett yelled as he circled the table. “No fish sits down with Rick Salomon, Chino, and Soverel. No fish [except] this fucking fish. You talk all the shit you want at home, you come here and sit with these monsters.”
