Poker Stars to Host Poker Camp in Barcelona

Two Daily Qualifiers Running Now

PokerStars qualifies more players for big events like the World Series of Poker and the European Poker Tour than any other site, and now PokerStars is offering a poker camp to prepare its players for their chance at a major live tournament.

The PokerStars Poker Camp is scheduled from Sept. 7-8 in Barcelona, just days before the EPT Barcelona main event. From now until July 19, satellite qualifiers will run twice daily at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. ET with a buy-in of $48.50. One out of 10 players will get a seat into the final tournament, which will take place Sunday, July 20 at 1 p.m. ET. For every 10 players in the final tournament, a PokerStars Poker Camp prize package will be awarded. The package is worth $4,000 and includes three nights hotel accommodation, exclusive gifts, and invitation to a private party with player players and celebrity tutors.

Here is the poker camp schedule*:

Day 1: Sept. 7

8-9 a.m.

Breakfast and registration
9-9:30 a.m. Intro and goals
9:30-11 a.m. Module 1: Online Play vs. Live Play
11-11:15 a.m. Break
11:15 a.m.-12:45 a.m. Module 2: The Mathematics of Poker
12:45-2 p.m. Lunch

2-3:30 p.m.

Module3: Early Stage Tournament Strategy
3:30-3:45 p.m. Break
3:45-5:30 p.m. Live hand analysis
5:30-6 p.m. Question-and-answer session
6-8 p.m. Pre-tournament dinner break
8 p.m.-late Camp tournament

Day 2: Sept. 8

8:30-9 a.m. Breakfast
9-10:30 a.m. Module 4: Poker Tells
10:30-10:45 a.m. Break
10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Module 5: Late Stage Tournament strategy
12:15-1:30 p.m. Lunch
1:30-3:30 p.m. EPT Video Hand Analysis
3:30-5 p.m. Module 6: Winning an EPT Event
5-6 p.m. Question-and-answer session
6-8 p.m. Dinner break and drinks
8 p.m.- late Camp tournament final table

The poker camp is also planning to run a live multi-table tournament wherein the top two finishers will win an EPT Barcelona prize package that includes the €8,250 event buy-in, as well as hotel accommodation and money for expenses. The event will take place just after the camp on Sept. 10-14.

Players can start qualifying now and also take advantage of a PokerStars deposit bonus through Card Player.
