Layne Flack Wins the Charity Event

Just after the 134th-Annual Kentucky Derby, Phil Hellmuth and Robert Williamson III hosted the Kentucky Derby of Poker Championship at Caesars Indiana, which raised $60,000 for charity.

The $2,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em poker tournament was won by World Series of Poker bracelet winner Layne Flack. He received $13,000 and a $10,000 seat into the WSOP main event. Second place was Jan Karl, who was awarded a $8,500 prize package for the Aruba Poker Classic in September.

The benefitting charities are the international Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Center, the Health and Climate Foundation, and the Robby Albarado Foundation.
