The very first issue of Card Player Bulgaria was published in September 2008 with local poker professional Aleksander Milanov (ninth, European Poker Tour German Open 2008) as a cover story. Other stories include news, strategy articles, and interviews with international poker stars Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, and Phil Ivey.
Card Player Bulgaria — as well as other European CP editions — is printed in local language and it is based both on original Card Player material and local content. Card Player Bulgaria is published in close cooperation with NTS Communications Finland, responsible for several East-European Card Player localizations.
"The Bulgarian team has done great work with all of the issue preparations. Already in the first issue, there is a special strategy section written by Bulgarian players that shows that there are a lot of great players in this part of Europe, too," said Country Manager Dobromir Mitev.
Card Player Bulgaria will also publish, by license, Card Player Romania by the end of this year.
