SpadeClub's Bellagio Championship Series Monthly Qualifier Awards Another Exclusive Member with a Satellite Seat in the 2009 WPT Championship Event at Bellagio

SpadeClub.com, the total poker experience, offers more than 2,500 tournaments and $100,000 awarded every month, all for just $19.99 a month. No entry fees, no deposits, no risk. Find out more.

Bellagio Championship SeriesSpadeClub Exclusive member Nick “AceHighFlush” Wright played in the Sept. 28 Bellagio Championship Series monthly qualifier and beat out 94 entrants to be awarded his $2,500 seat in a satellite for the 2009 Five-Star World Poker Classic at Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wright has been playing poker for about two years and has learned a lot about the game of poker. He likes to play online and get comfortable with his game before he plays in live tournaments.

“I think SpadeClub is an excellent place to play poker,” said Wright. “You can practice your play and not have to worry about losing money. For only $19.99 a month, there are no worries. I have been playing for about five months on SpadeClub, and it has helped my game so much with online poker, so thank you SpadeClub.”

Wright is excited to come to Las Vegas to play in the 2009 Five-Star World Poker Classic and to play in the Bellagio Championship Series finals in April on SpadeClub to have a chance at a $25,000 seat in the 2009 WPT Championship event. Card Player got the opportunity to ask him a few questions about his style of play and his exciting win on Spadeclub.com.

Card Player: First off, can you tell us a little about yourself?

Nick “AceHighFlush” Wright: I am 26 years old and from Port Charlotte, Florida. I work at GoodWill. The managers and coworkers are great to work with, and I have fun there, too. My hobby is poker, both live and online. I am on a pool league, as well, and I love classic rock.

CP: Where do you play live?

NW: When I play live, I play at Qs Bar and Grill and Final Table Tour a few nights a week, but I play a lot online.

CP: What was your first poker experience like?

NW: My first poker experience was when I went to Las Vegas for a pool league. We won in 2006, [so they sent us] to Las Vegas. My friend who I played pool with knew how to play poker and got me to try it out. He told me the basics of how to play Texas hold’em, but I didn’t know what really went on and how to bet at certain cards. I only lost $40, but didn’t try it again for a while.

CP: What is your general strategy going into a tournament?

NW: My general strategy before going into a live tourney is to play one or two games online. I practice my game a lot to where I feel good about my play, so when its time to play live I am pumped up for a real tournament. When I enter into anything new, I try to get to know my environment. I try to meet some players and get an idea of what is going on and be patient.

CP: What is the one thing that you wish you knew about earlier in your poker career?

NW: The thing I wish I new earlier in my poker career is where to use my cards in position and how much to bet depending on blinds.

CP: What are some of your other poker accomplishments?

NW: For live play, I haven’t really won anything yet, but I did get third at Qs Bar and Grill last month. Online, I have made it to 13 final tables in real-money dailies. I have won two and gotten second and fourth in the $500 nightly events, and my biggest win in online poker is this monthly qualifier, in which I won a trip to Vegas in April to go play cards. I am happy!

CP: Did you meet anyone interesting at the tables to add to your friends list?

NW: I have a lot of great friends, so it is hard for me to just pick one person. So, I will say thank you to all my friends who wanted me to win, and thanks to everyone I did not see.

CP: What is your next goal on SpadeClub? How do you plan to accomplish it?

NW: My next goal on SpadeClub is to get all of the badges and, of course, win a lot of money so I can have some for Las Vegas, and to do my best, as well.

CP: Do you have any general advice to share with our readers about succeeding at SpadeClub?

NW: My advice for the readers is to be patient, know your environment, and have fun. If you’re not having fun with poker, then don’t play [laughs]. It is only a game!

CP: Are you excited to be playing in a satellite for the 2009 Five-Star World Poker Classic at Bellagio in Las Vegas?

NW: I am very happy about going to Vegas in April.

CP: What will be your strategy going into the Bellagio Championship Series finals in 2009 on SpadeClub?

NW: My strategy going into the tournament is to be cool, calm, and collected and to have a feel for the area around me and the players. And to have fun and win!

CP: Anything else you would like to add?

NW: I would like to thank SpadeClub and Final Table Tour for getting me where I am today. I couldn’t have done it without everyone who helped me and supported me. And my screenname is not AceHighBluff, my screenname is AceHighFlush, if anyone is confused. Thanks again, everyone!
