Proceeds to Benefit Eva's Heroes

San Antonio Spurs star point guard Tony Parker and wife Eva Parker (Longoria), star of the hit show Desperate Housewives, make up one of the world’s most popular celebrity couples, and on Aug. 9, the duo is using their Hollywood influence to raise money for charity with the first-annual Tony and Eva Parker Celebrity Casino Night.

At Pedrotti’s North Wind Ranch, located at 13715 FM 1560N in San Antonio, the doors will open to guests at 5:30 p.m. After dinner, a poker tournament will begin at 6:30 p.m. The buy-in is $300, which gets players 10,000 in starting chips, and $100 additional rebuys (for 5,000 in chips) will be available throughout the first hour once players dip below 5,000. At the break, players can purchase one last add-on for $200 to get an extra 15,000 in chips.

Casino games will also be running during the tournament, including blackjack, roulette, craps, slot machines, and a money wheel. Those who buy into the tournament will also receive 2,000 in chips for casino games. Admission for just the casino games and 2,000 in chips can be purchased for $100. Additional casino chips can be bought throughout the night: $10 for 1,000 in chips or $20 for 3,000 in chips. The casino games end at 9:30 p.m., and players can cash in their chips for tickets for a prize drawing.

The benefitting charity is Eva’s Heroes, an organization founded by Parker to enrich the lives of those who have developmental challenges. The foundation is dedicated to providing an inclusive setting for beneficiaries to interact, grow, and learn with their peers. Sponsorship opportunities are also welcome. Players can register early and find more information at www.evasheroes.org.
