ACR Poker hosted the special XXL edition of Phil’s Thrill last Sunday as part of its ongoing $50 million OSS XL series. The tournament is an expanded version of the site’s weekly high roller event, named after CEO Phil Nagy.
For the XXL edition, ACR Poker attached a $1.5 million guarantee to the $10,300 buy-in event. The weekly version of the tournament does not typically carry a set guarantee, so the $1.5 million guarantee alone made this the largest installment of the event to date. With 206 entries, the prize pool climbed to $2,060,000, surpassing the guarantee by more than 37 percent.
After nearly eight and a half hours of play, ‘ErculePokero’ came out on top to earn the title and $496,027. ‘Blankslate’ finished second for $362,374, while ‘Down2Muck’ earned $264,532 for third place. Nagy himself busted in the middle of the 206-entry field.
More OSS XL To Come
While Phil’s Thrill XXL took place on the opening day of the OSS XL, it was only one of many marquee events on the $50 million schedule. The series runs through March 23rd and is an extra-large edition of ACR Poker’s flagship Online Super Series.
The OSS XL schedule spans a broad range of buy-in levels, headlined by $2 million GTD Main Events at $2,650 and $1,050, along with a $215 buy-in Main Event carrying a $1 million guarantee.
In addition to the OSS XL Main Events, the series includes several large multi-flight tournaments, including a $630 buy-in event with a $1.5 million guarantee. Three $500,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty tournaments are also part of the lineup, along with a $65,000 leaderboard competition funded by ACR Poker.
