Brandon Wilson Headlines Late European Poker Tour Paris Winners

The 2026 PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris festival wrapped up with a flourish on Sunday, March 1, with the completion of the massive main event won by Jorge Abreu. While that $1.3 million victory rightfully dominated the spotlight, there were also several additional headline-worthy triumphs recorded during the final days at the Palais des Congres de Paris. This article will take a closer look at the other big stories from the series’ home stretch.

€10,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller

Brandon Wilson has backed up his seventh-place finish in the 2025 Card Player Player of the Year race with a red-hot start to 2026. The rising American high-stakes star has already won three titles and made six final tables through the first two months of the new year, with two of his victories coming at this festival. He first took down a €25,000 high roller for $235,811 and 168 POY points. Then, less than a week later, he emerged victorious in the €10,300 high roller for $789,066 and 1,500 points.

With 3,093 total points and almost $1.6 million in to-date POY earnings, Wilson has moved into the top spot on the POY leaderboard presented by CoinPoker. He now has more than $11.4 million in career earnings to his name after his pair of titles in Paris.

The most recent victory saw Wilson outlast 352 entries. The massive turnout made for a prize pool worth just shy of $4 million. Several big names ran deep, including Eugene Katchalov (24th), Michael Watson (15th), Yuliyan Nikolaev Kolev (13th), and Teun Mulder (11th).

Wilson then had to tangle with 2019 World Series of Poker main event champion Hossein Ensan (3rd – $352,230) and 2025 WSOP Monster Stack winner Klemens Roiter (2nd – $493,122) on his way to hoisting his second trophy in Paris. Roiter, like Wilson, had a breakout performance in 2025. He finished sixth in the final POY standings last year and is now poised for another strong showing with 2,163 points accrued across five final-table finishes so far in 2026. As a result, he now sits in second place.

€2,100 Hyper Turbo Freezeout / €5,150 Six Max

Wilson was not the only player to score two late triumphs in Paris. Hometown hero Antoine Labat, who made a final-table run in the 2018 WSOP main event, took down both the €2,100 no-limit hold’em hyper turbo freezeout and the €5,150 no-limit hold’em six max events during the final week.

The hyper turbo drew 120 entries, with Labat earning $70,352 as the champion. Just four days later, he bested a field of 53 entries in the shorthanded tournament to add another $91,509 to his haul. The French player now boasts over $4.6 million in career cashes, with $1 million coming from his ninth-place finish in the world championship back in 2018.

Labat now has six career titles across 123 recorded in-the-money finishes.

€3,250 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty

A hefty field of 782 entries turned out for the €3,250 no-limit hold’em mystery bounty event, making for a prize pool worth nearly $2.7 million. The biggest benefactor wound up being two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Frank Lagodich. He emerged victorious with the title and $359,145 in total earnings, with roughly $42,500 coming from the bounties he secured on his way to hoisting the spade trophy.

This was the second-largest payday of the American’s career, trailing only the $505,200 that came with a runner-up finish in a $25,000 high roller at the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. The Canton, OH native now has more than $4.1 million in recorded cashes to his name.

In addition to the money and the hardware, Lagodich also secured 1,368 POY points for this title run. This was his second POY-qualified score of 2026, having also finished fifth in a $1,100 side event at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open. With 1,508 total points, he now sits in 13th place in the overall standings.

France’s Erwann Pecheux earned $227,504 as the runner-up. He now sits inside the top 50 in the POY ranks thanks to this deep run.
