The action at the 2026 European Poker Tour Paris festival is ramping up towards its apex. The EPT Paris main event is in full swing, and the side events continue to produce compelling champions.
A couple of predictable winners at EPT Paris popped up in recent days. Kayhan Mokri, who enjoyed tremendous success in the second half of 2025, continued his winning ways with a €25,000 six-max pot-limit Omaha title. Brandon Wilson, an emerging high-stakes star, struck again with yet another title in that buy-in range at EPT Paris.
Mathew Frankland won an event bearing the high roller title. And while the PokerStars Open High Roller had a buy-in of about 10% of the “true” high rollers at EPT Paris, his victory over a field of more than 1,100 players made him one of the biggest winners of the festival so far.
Geoffrey Mooney, fresh off of a career-changing result just a few weeks ago in North Cyprus, continued a hot month with a PLO win of his own at EPT Paris.
With just a few days of action remaining in the festival, here’s the latest from EPT Paris.
Mathew Frankland Hits Big In PokerStars Open High Roller
The late spring and early summer of 2025 were a revelation for Mathew Frankland. The English pro enjoyed a tremendous run at EPT Monte Carlo, winning a €2,200 no-limit hold’em big field event and a deep, lucrative run in a €25,000 buy-in event.
Over the summer, he set a new career high score at the 2025 World Series of Poker, finishing fourth in a $25,000 no-limit hold’em event for $626,823. And as the cherry on top, Frankland claimed a $30,000 prize package to WSOP Paradise by winning a runout among the players who went out on the WSOP main event bubble.
The good times on the EPT continued for Frankland in Paris. He bested a field of 1,162 entrants to win the €2,700 buy-in PokerStars Open high roller for $562,010. Frankland also earned 1,440 Card Player Player of the Year points, pushing him up to 13th place on the yearlong leaderboard presented by CoinPoker.
Frankland beat out a final table that included three-time WSOP bracelet winner Timur Margolin (4th) and German standout Ole Schemion (6th). Juan Pardo (12th), triple crown winner Davidi Kitai (20th), and Antoine Saout (58th) were among the in-the-money finishers
