As the holiday season hits its stride and the calendar year is winding down, CoinPoker is ramping up the guarantees.
On Dec. 26, CoinPoker kicks off its Winter Festival, a tournament series with $10 million worth of guarantees. The month-long tournament series runs until Jan. 26 and features three stages of events:
- Turbo events
- Satellites
- CoinPoker’s biggest guarantees
Moreover, the online poker site is running leaderboards for the event and Second Chance Flipouts. The series is fully accessible through the site’s new mobile app.
The festival consists of three stages focusing on different tournament formats. The Holiday Turbo Mini Series, Fresh Start Week, and the Winter Masters Series.
The Winter Masters Series is where the leaderboards kick in, with three different leaderboards for the three different buy-in levels. There is $10,000 up for grabs on the low buy-in leaderboard, $50,000 available at the mid-stakes tier, and $60,000 for the tournament high rollers.
Holiday Turbo Mini Series
The festival kicks off with a five-day turbo series from Dec. 26-30. With everybody in the midst of holiday festivities, the turbo structure is perfect for those with holiday obligations still on their plate.
Additionally, Second Chance Flipouts are available for turbo series players. Playing instantly qualify for the second chance flipouts by playing in three mini series events in one buy-in tier.
However, nobody is limited to a single tier of flipout tickets. Playing in three events at different tiers will garner a flipout ticket for the accompany flipout tier.
Flipout winners can earn tickets into the last leg of the series – the Winter Masters Series.
Fresh Start Week
The Fresh Start Week runs from Dec. 31 – Jan. 7, and serves as the transition between the Holiday Turbo Mini Series and the Winter Masters Series.
The guarantees increase slightly, and the structures become slightly longer. Players can look forward to boosted prize pools and satellites awarding $30,000 in free entries.
Moreover, the series hosts a special New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day tournament with $20,000 in added value. There are $10,000 Winter Masters Series tournament tickets up for grabs in each event.
Winter Masters Series
Last but certainly not least is the Winter Masters Series. It’s the pinnacle of the Winter Festival, featuring the biggest buy-ins and prize pools.
The Winter Masters Series is the largest tournament series in CoinPoker’s history.
The schedule is packed with several different formats, including turbos, classic structures, progressive knockouts, and deepstack tournaments. But the cornerstone of the series are the three main events with a combined $345,000 in guarantees.
- $500 High Tier Main Event with $250,000 guaranteed
- $75 Mid Tier Main Event with $75,000 guaranteed
- $15 Low Tier Main Event With $20,000 guaranteed
Major events, such as the CoinMasters and Sunday Cup, will also run concurrently with the Winter Festival and feature boosted guarantees.
