To say things have been going the way of ‘Giselle54’ in the high-stakes pot-limit Omaha tables on CoinPoker would be a massive understatement. Giselle54 has spent the last couple of months punishing anyone in their way, and ‘GucciNIKE’ has been the most recent victim.
Already up almost $3 million across a pair of recent matches, Giselle54 added about another $1 million to that tally within the past week. They’ve been playing primarily $500-$1,000 with a $200 ante lately. A couple of big pots played on Nov. 2 would see Giselle54 emerge unscathed despite GucciNIKE engineering a couple of advantageous situations.
Lucky River Saves Giselle54
The players were 201 big blinds deep when Giselle54 raised to $3,000 and called a three-bet to $9,000 by GucciNIKE. GucciNIKE slowed down with a check on the 10♠7♦6♣ flop. Giselle54 bet $7,500, and GucciNIKE made it $24,500. Giselle54 called. GucciNIKE checked the Q♦, and Giselle54 bet $42,000. GucciNIKE shoved for $167,756, and Giselle54 called to create a pot just shy of $403,000.
Giselle54 needed a lot of help, holding Q♠10♦9♣6♥ against Q♥9♠8♦8♥. With the 6♠ river, they made a winning full house.

Hand Analysis
GucciNIKE makes an aggressive preflop three-bet, but given how wild this match has been at times, it’s not that out of line. They flop the nuts, but it’s a board that’s probably going to favor Giselle54 a bit since GucciNIKE’s three-betting range should be more heavy on Broadways and suited aces. So, they checked it over.
Giselle54’s hand isn’t great for building a huge pot, but it’s fine for a smaller bet. Checking is a fine option as well in this spot. Facing the check-raise, there’s nothing they can do but call. Having the 9 blocker is helpful for continuing, as it makes it so the hand can stand a little more heat.
GucciNIKE has an interesting situation on the turn. They have a hand that’s obviously worth blasting, but river play will be uncomfortable with these deep stacks. Any diamond, any board-pairing card, and any other card above a 6 devalues their hand.
However, if they check and Giselle54 bets, GucciNIKE would be able to check-raise for all of the money, most likely. So, GucciNIKE goes for the super sneaky double check-raise.
It works, as Giselle54 falls into the trap. Betting the turn seems okay with top two and a straight blocker, but it’s pretty miserable to face a check-raise all in with this holding. Giselle54 probably needs a flush draw with their two pair to justify calling off. Most of the blocker bluffs, hands like A-10-9-9, perhaps, would just bet the turn themselves. It’s kind of hard to come up with bluffs that check-raise a rainbow board here and then check-raise the turn for stacks.
This hand should probably have been folded, but Giselle54 called off against the goods and got there with 12.5% equity, according to the Card Player odds calculator.
Too Many Outs for GucciNIKE
This time, the players were 118 big blinds deep. Again, Giselle54 raised to $3,000, and GucciNIKE made it $9,000. Giselle54 called.
GucciNIKE continued for $9,226 on the A♦10♦7♠ flop, and Giselle54 called. The 5♠ turned prompted a pot-sized bet of $36,793 from GucciNIKE, and Giselle54 shoved all in for $100,108 effective.
GucciNIKE called with 9♦9♠8♠6♦ for a monster draw. Giselle54 held A♣J♥7♣5♣ for aces up, and the K♥ was safe to the two pair.

Hand Analysis
This time, GucciNIKE has a slam dunk three-bet with a double-suited and connected hand, and they connect fairly well with the flop. It’s important to remember that while a draw like this gets there a majority of the time, many of its outs will leave it dead against better draws.
In any case, the ace-high boards favor the preflop three-bettor, and GucciNIKE continues with a standard c-bet. Giselle54 has a clear call with a hand that beats bluffs, but is flipping or crushed against GucciNIKE’s range for stacking off.
The turn improves GucciNIKE’s draw even further, and it’s time to pot and put max pressure on hands like two pair or bigger draws with mediocre showdown value. Most of the time, boards with two flush draws should be potted or checked. Especially on one with this many straight draws, the river will almost always change the nuts.
Facing the pot bet, Giselle54 goes for a jam. It’s not a comfortable play, and it’s one that players should be leery of in a full table. The big blind’s three-betting range will be much more weighted toward stronger hands, and almost all of those have two pair that isn’t top two smashed.
However uncomfortable it is, though, calling off on the river will be even worse in many cases. So with Giselle54 near the top of their range and the opponent an aggressive heads-up expert, aces up becomes an acceptable hand with which to stack off.
Even with Giselle54 looking them up holding a better showdown hand, GucciNIKE still has 60% equity according to the calculator. But Giselle54’s sun run won’t stop, and GucciNIKE gets stacked again when a brick finds its way to the board.
