‘Giselle54’ continues to assert their dominance in the highest-stakes pot-limit Omaha cash games on CoinPoker. The continued match against ‘GucciNIKE’ began with Giselle54 winning more than $800,000, and the recent results have been even more favorable for the anonymous crusher. Over the past week, Giselle54 won about $2 million across a handful of sessions, mostly at $500-$1,000 with a $200 ante.
It’s not the first documented seven-figure upswing for Giselle54, who crushed Jared Bleznick for $1.7 million in September.
‘GucciNIKE’ Turns a Set into a Three-Bet Bluff
With the players 153 big blinds deep, Giselle54 opened to $3,000 on the button, and GucciNIKE called.
GucciNIKE checked the 7♣6♥3♦ flop, and Giselle54 bet $3,170. GucciNIKE raised to $10,123, and Giselle54 called. Both players checked the 9♣, bringing a 2♦ river.
GucciNIKE bet $7,975, and Giselle54 made it $36,000, and GucciNIKE came back with a three-bet all in to $101,724. Giselle54 called, creating a pot of $230,095.
GucciNIKE showed 10♠7♠7♦4♥ for a set of 7s, but Giselle54 had A♥9♦8♣5♠ for the second nuts.

Hand Analysis
Giselle54 has a clear continuation-bet on the flop with a wrap that has decent equity against the nuts and a hand that blocks the nuts as well.
Similarly, GucciNIKE has top set and a straight blocker, certainly good enough to check-raise. GucciNIKE could continue barreling the turn as well. Sets won’t always keep betting, but the best ones to do it with are ones that block straights, and the 10-4 combo does that nicely here. Particularly unblocking clubs, betting for value and protection is attractive.
They opt for a check, and Giselle54 has a decision with the second nuts. Many players would look to bet here, but non-nut straights tend to be good candidates to check back. They do horribly against check-raises, which should be mostly the nuts, and checking them back ensures the in-position player has some strong hands in their check-back range for the river.
GucciNIKE’s hand loses to straights, but after the turn checked through, it’s good enough to bet the river for value. Blocking two different straights, GucciNIKE could actually go for a big size here, but they use a small size.
Giselle54 has a mandatory raise against the small size but would have to just call against a pot-sized bet.
Once Giselle54 raises, GucciNIKE has a decent bluff-catcher for the aforementioned reasons. A set would be a clear bet-fold without straight blockers, but with them, it becomes a candidate to hero with. Instead, GucciNIKE makes the unusual decision to three-bet jam with the blockers. It’s a creative play but a risky one, and one that certainly means they’re bluffing too often in theory.
Since Giselle54 was at or near the top of their range in theory — most nut straights get bet on the turn — they decide to look up GucciNIKE and win a huge pot.
‘GucciNIKE’ Passes on River Blocker Bluff
Giselle54 opened for $3,000 on the button with a stack of $106,000, which GucciNIKE covered. GucciNIKE potted right back to $9,000 and Giselle54 called.
GucciNIKE continued the aggression with $9,226 on the A♦10♠3♥ flop, and Giselle54 called. On the Q♠, GucciNIKE barreled again for half pot, $18,528 this time. Giselle54 called. Both players checked the 4♥ river.
GucciNIKE showed A♣K♣K♦2♦ but the pot went to Giselle54, who showed a raggedy Q♣10♦8♦3♦ for queens up.

Hand Analysis
The ace-high flops favor the out-of-position three-bettor, but they won’t be continuation-bet every time like in some six-max setups. Top pair and top kicker can get some value, though, so it’s a fine option.
With bottom two pair, Giselle54 should probably fold against a big sizing, but it’s just enough to peel against half pot.
Thing get interesting for GucciNIKE on the turn, because they still have top pair, but they also have two blockers to the nuts. They also don’t have any spades, reducing river playability. Continuing to bet at this point would essentially be setting up for a multi-street bluff. As more money goes into the pot, the showdown value of one pair drops correspondingly. That means the utility of using the blockers to bluff goes up.
Hands that block three of the board pairs tend to be pretty good bluff-catchers in PLO, but Giselle54’s turn call is only going to show a profit against players who bluff appropriately.
On the river, GucciNIKE makes the somewhat odd decision to check and try to get to showdown. It stands in contrast to their turn play, especially with a pot-sized bet behind. Giselle54 most likely isn’t going to for value with anything except straights or maybe something like J-J-10-10 and will just happily check back showdown hands like two pair.
GucciNIKE’s play was a little discombobulated here as they allowed Giselle54 to win the showdown instead of going for a bluff or just keeping the pot smaller with a turn check.
