WSOP Circuit at Harveys Lake Tahoe Kicks Off

Whole WSOP Circuit Event Packed Into One Week


The World Series of Poker's circuit is back into gear with the first event of the 2006-07 season kicking off this weekend. The event at Harvey's Lake Tahoe began Thursday with two mega-satellites, and will continue until Sept. 15, when the $5,150 ring event is set to begin.

This coming week is packed with tournaments at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. Buy-ins for the circuit events are on the low side, costing between $230 and $1,060. A $1,060 no-limit hold'em event took place today. Satellites into the championship event – in which the winner receives a gold WSOP ring – cost $330 and $550.

The remaining schedule is as follows:

  • Ladies hold'em, Sept. 10, $230
  • No-limit hold'em, Sept. 10, $550
  • No-limit Stud/hold'em, Sept. 11, $340
  • No-limit hold'em, Sept. 12, $550
  • No-limit hold'em, Sept. 13, $1,060
  • Sept. 14 is dedicated satellite day
  • No-limit hold'em, Sept. 15, $5,150
