The World Series of Poker's circuit is back into gear with the first event of the 2006-07 season kicking off this weekend. The event at Harvey's Lake Tahoe began Thursday with two mega-satellites, and will continue until Sept. 15, when the $5,150 ring event is set to begin.
This coming week is packed with tournaments at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. Buy-ins for the circuit events are on the low side, costing between $230 and $1,060. A $1,060 no-limit hold'em event took place today. Satellites into the championship event – in which the winner receives a gold WSOP ring – cost $330 and $550.
