On Wednesday, a $201,047.48 prize was claimed at the hands of the UB Bad Beat Jackpot.
A Canadian player with the screen name “RUNURAGGED” claimed the massive prize for losing with quad nines to quad queens at $0.25-$0.50 no-limit hold’em. The jackpot had reached $617,466.53 when the hand took place.
The winner of the hand picked up $100,956.41, while the seven other players banked at least $1,000 for being seated at the table. An additional 838 others won at least $61.81 for playing at the same limit at the time.
About $60 million in jackpot money has been awarded since the promotion began three years ago.
