CardPlayer.com Gets a Makeover

In May 2009, Card Player Media marked one of the most important landmarks in our development, launching our new website and incorporating CardPlayerEurope.com fully into the main site. Staff writer Stephen A. Murphy best described the event in the first news story on the new site. “Card Player Media has come a long way since its first magazine debuted in a few select card rooms in Nevada and California in 1988. What began as a 40-page pamphlet, entirely black and white, quickly lived up to its motto as ‘The Poker Authority.’ “While the magazine expanded its reach, the company bought the CardPlayer.com domain in 1995 to further spread the news of a growing industry around the globe.
