Alejandro Lococo Wins 2026 WCOOP Main Event

CoinPoker Pro Adds Major Online Poker Title To List Of Accolades, Taking Down World Championship Of Online Poker Main Event For $343,242

Alejandro Lococo won the $1,050 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker main event, adding another standout achievement to the Argentinian’s growing list of poker accolades.

The CoinPoker Ambassador earned $343,242 in the four-day online event, claiming his share of a prize pool that eclipsed $2.3 million. He outlasted a field of 2,310 entries to secure the victory. Lococo was one of three WCOOP main event winners at separate buy-in tiers, joining $10,300 main event champion Felipe ‘lipe piv’ Boianovsky and Ukrainian player ‘ihor888888’, who took down the $109 buy-in version.

Lococo streamed his victory and his celebration for his followers, playing as ‘[Papo]AR’. On the final hand, Lococo shoved on the button with Q♦4♠, having his opponent ‘Goodarla’ massively outchipped heads up. ‘Goodarla’ called it off with 10♥7♥ for their last few chips.

The J♣6♣4♥ flop kept Lococo ahead, but the 5♠ turn multiplied the outs against him. The 4♦ river gave Lococo trips, and the theatrics ensued. Lococo stood up and threw his fists in the air in victory. Several of Lococo’s friends ran into the room to celebrate, as they and Lococo repeatedly chanted, “Dale campeón” and danced in the aftermath.

After his win, congratulations poured in from across the poker world, including well wishes from bracelet winners Alex Livingston and Faraz Jaka.

‘Papo MC’ Strikes Again

For Lococo, this win represents the latest victory on an increasingly impressive poker resume. At the 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise festival, Lococo won the Triton Million Invitational. The victory in the $500,000 buy-in tournament earned Lococo a staggering $12,070,000 payday, his first WSOP bracelet, and a Triton title.

Lococo narrowly missed out on his second Triton title in recent weeks, finishing second to Klemens Roiter in a Triton Jeju $20,000 no-limit hold’em event. In November 2021, Lococo made the final table of the WSOP main event, with a seventh-place showing worth $1,225,000. In total, Lococo has $16,981,726 in total recorded tournament earnings.

Back in March, the emerging poker standout and rapper known as ‘Papo MC’ signed with CoinPoker as an ambassador for the platform. Outside of poker, Lococo won the Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos rap battle contest in 2016. He currently has over 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube.
