CoinPoker wrapped up its pot-limit Omaha Cash Game World Championship and ‘godfromstock’ absolutely crushed the competition.
The anonymous four-card grinder was the wire-to-wire leader of the online poker competition. He played 40,809 hands, profited $150,641, and earned 17,179 points.
Additionally, he was the only player to earn a six-figure sum. He was more than $53,000 ahead of the second-largest winner – ‘venom2’ who won $96,369. Although he ran above expectation, godfromstock’s expected winnings were still in six-figure territory, clocking in at $137,521.
The top 10 on the leaderboard got shuffled in the closing days of action, with ‘CanarianSPA’ charging up the leaderboard to finish in second. He was outside the top 10 for most of the final two weeks of play. He finished with 10,786 points over 32,000 hands.
But he was on the other side of the run good spectrum, with adjusted EV winnings nearly double his actual results. He won $45,003, but had adjusted EV winnings totaling $86,292.
‘cumicon’s’ stat line is worthy of a call to a mental health professional. Over 41,316 hands, he lost $59,823 during the promotion. But his adjusted EV was a mind-bending $71,850. In other words, he ran a whopping $131,673 below expected value.
Despite the bad luck, he still managed to finish in third place.
Online high-stakes stalwart Dirk ‘venividi1993’ Gerritse flirted with the top of the leaderboard throughout the competition. However, he ultimately finished outside the top 10, in 11th place.

PLO AfterParty Kicks Off
The competition wrapped up, but CoinPoker is showing their appreciation to the participating players in the PLO CGWC with the PLO AfterParty.
CoinPoker is distributing $70,000 in prizes to the CoinRaces leaderboard between Nov. 3-17. Over the two-week span, $5,000 will be added daily to the $12,000 leaderboard for buy-ins north of $100.
CoinRaces points are getting a refresh, too. The $500, $1,000, and $2,000 stakes are all getting more points towards the leaderboard. No-limit hold’em and five-card pot-limit Omaha also share the points boost.
PLO CGWC Leaderboard Basics
CoinPoker awarded leaderboard points based on EV BB (expected value of big blinds won), which eliminated some of the variance of PLO. Games were six-max with 100-big blind buy-ins. And the winner of every pot had their cards shown, regardless of which street they won the pot.
