CoinPoker announced on Wednesday that the site banned accounts using third-party “seat scripting” software.
Site officials said seat scripting software violates the terms and conditions of the site. Furthermore, the site believes the software is used solely to take advantage of perceived weaker players.
CoinPoker conducted an investigation to protect recreational polayers and permanently banned several accounts that used seat scripting apps. In the most recent CoinPoker newsletter, they likened it to “predatory assisted table selection.”

“CoinPoker’s stance will always be firm against any players who try to unfairly gain table selection advantages,” they wrote in the letter. “Scripting goes against the spirit of the game, violates their Terms and Conditions, and creates an unhealthy environment for players.”
What Are Seat Scripting Apps?
Players have used seat scripting scripts for decades in online poker. While most players don’t consider it outright cheating, it does give an unfair advantage to predatory players. The apps scrape data from game lobbies to find inexperienced or losing players.
Additionally, the software works so fast that often when a new players sits, seats are filled faster than any human player could find.
The announcement comes as CoinPoker’s pot-limit Omaha Cash Game World Championship is in its final days. ‘godfromstock’ has a stranglehold on first place and online high-stakes stalware, ‘venividi1993’ is inside the top 10.
