The World Series of Poker Circuit will make its way back to Graton Resort & Casino in Northern California this August, with a total of 18 WSOPC gold rings to be awarded from Aug. 14-25. The Bay Area poker hotspot is set to pay out $1.2 million in guaranteed prize money during the festival, with the centerpiece of the whole affair being the $500,000 guaranteed $1,700 buy-in WSOPC Graton no-limit hold’em main event, which will run from Aug. 22-25.

Alex Lipkin
The WSOPC stop at the venue this February was anchored by the same event. It attracted 558 entries in that running, handily surpassing the $500,000 guarantee to create a prize pool of $845,370 that was paid out amongst the top 85 finishers. Alex Lipkin came away with the title in the end, earning $162,520 as the champion.
Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Marco Johnson finished third. The Bay Area native earned $74,400 for his podium showing.
The upcoming series has eight events with guaranteed prize pools, with half of those ensuring six figures in prize money. While the main event and its half-million-dollar guarantee rightfully grabs the headlines, the schedule also includes a $250,000 guaranteed $600 deep stack (Aug. 14-17), a $400 no-limit hold’em ‘Monster Stack’ with a $150,000 guarantee (Aug. 19-21), and a $1,100 buy-in that also comes with a $100,000 guarantee (Aug. 24-25).
This festival features something for everyone, with buy-ins ranging from $250 up to $3,300. There are two seniors events, a ladies event, and multiple non-hold’em offerings including H.O.R.S.E., limit Omaha eight-or-better, and big O (pot-limit five-card Omaha eight-or-better).
