Building Upon History
The 2025 WPT World Championship is the signature event of a nearly monthlong festival at Wynn Las Vegas. The action starts on December 2, with a full event schedule set for release over the next few weeks.
For the fourth consecutive year, the WPT Prime Championship also returns as a cornerstone event. The $1,100 buy-in tournament with four starting flights runs from December 7 through December 12, and the delayed final table plays out on December 20. Zak VanKeuren added his name to an impressive list of WPT Prime Championship winners in 2024, and took home more than $1.1 million.
In 2022, Eliot Hudon won the inaugural WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas for over $4.1 million. That year, Stephen Song won the first-ever WPT Prime Championship, and $712,650.
The following year, in 2023, Dan Sepiol won a WPT record $5,282,954 in that year’s WPT World Championship. Calvin Anderson secured a WPT Prime record $1.4 million in 2023 as well.
