PokerGO Tour Debuts Bounty Blitz This September

Six-Event Series Runs Sept. 1-6, With Five Different Bounty Formats On Offer

PokerGO Tour events are ramping up heading into the fall, and action resumes inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA in Las Vegas with a first-of-its-kind bounty series.

PGT Bounty Blitz kicks off on Sept. 1 with the first of a half dozen $5,300 buy-in bounty events running over six consecutive days. Players who arrive and register on time receive a $200 discount on rake. Events 1 and 6 will follow a standard bounty format, with each elimination earning a player $2,000.

The first five tournaments are two-day events, with streamed final table action on the second day on PokerGO.

Event 2 follows an escalator bounty format, which has three stages. While registration is open, each bounty is worth $500. Later in the tournament, once registration closes, bounties are worth $1,000 each. When the tournament eventually reaches the last full table before the bubble, there’s one final stage. The remaining bounty portion of the prize pool is divided accordingly, to account for all remaining players.

For event 3, a quattro format, bounties begin with 25% of the field remaining. Since there are 75% fewer bounties available, each bounty from that point on is worth $8,000.

Event 4 is a progressive knockout, with half of each bounty collected immediately by the player who scores the elimination. The other half of the bounty goes to that same player’s bounty prize.

The ever popular mystery bounty format is featured in event 5, with the second-largest prize reserved for the final table.

While the PGT Bounty Blitz kicks off a busy month inside the PGT Studio, there’s plenty more to follow. The Poker Masters series runs from Sept. 19- Oct. 2. Action in that 10-event series kicks off with a $5,000 buy-in Poker Masters $1,000,000 showcase.

A PGT PLO Series is set to follow, starting on October 10.
