FanDuel banned a man from their platform for heckling track star Gabby Thomas.
On social media, he bragged that he bet against Thomas, and his heckling helped him win his online sports betting endeavor.
The bettor goes by the handle “mr100kaday” on X/Twitter. He posted a video of his heckling from the Grand Slam Track meet in Philadelphia. He stood near the starting line for the 100-meter dash and began yelling at the 28-year-old.
“You’re a choke artist. You’re going down,” he yelled among other negative comments.
Earlier this week, Thomas posted from her own account to highlight his actions.
“This grown man followed me around the track as I took pictures and signed autographs for fans (mostly children) shouting personal insulted,” said wrote. “Anybody who enables him online is gross.”

Growing Concern About Bettors’ Behavior
The move comes at a time when athletes are facing an increasing amount of criticism and scrutiny from disgruntled bettors.
Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and his family received death threats from a drunk gambler. Last year, NCAA officials encouraged states to drop prop bets on college athletes after student-athletes frequently faced harassment from those wagering on their games.
Along with the video from the track, “mr100kaday” posted a parlay win from FanDuel for about $1,700 that included Melissa Jefferson-Wooden and Kenny Bednarek winning the women’s and men’s 100-meter races. After the incident, FanDuel said the user was banned from the platform.
“FanDuel condemns in the strongest terms abusive behavior directed towards athletes,” a FanDuel spokesperson told ESPN. “Threatening or harassing athletes is unacceptable and has no place in sports. This customer is no longer able to wager with FanDuel.”
Heckler Claims His FanDuel Account Doesn’t Exist
However, the bettor claimed he didn’t have an account with FanDuel. “Mr100kaday” said he simply provides picks for betting clients.
“Fanduel … made it seem like I’m banned from them when I don’t even have an account!” he tweeted on Wednesday. “I sell picks and consult with others who [are] looking for good sports knowledge.”
He says he simply makes selections for others and gets a cut of the winnings. On Twitter, he refers to himself as “the track and the field bully.”
Grand Slam Track is a league spearheaded by sprinting legend Michael Johnson. He said the organization was “Conducting a full investigation into the reprehensible behavior captured on video.” Along with Philadelphia, the league runs events in Miami, Los Angeles, and Kingston, Jamaica.
In Philadelphia, Jefferson-Wooden won both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. Thomas won the gold medial in the 200-meter at the 2024 Olympic Games, but finished fourth in the 100 and second in the 200-meter at the Grand Slam.
