In June, poker pro Doug Polk made his first appearance on the popular comedy show ‘Kill Tony.’
Polk did indeed “kill” host Tony Hinchcliffe with his first set. This week, Polk made his second appearance on the show. The results were the same as the first.
The show gives potential comedians one minute to wow comedian and host Tony Hinchcliffe, as well as guest comedians on the panel. Hinchcliffe and his panel have a reputation of being incredibly blunt with their criticism of the show’s guests.
However, the online poker legend’s first joke turned the tables. He immediately poked fun at the show’s host.
“I’m a professional poker player, but this show changed my life,” Polk began. “Since my first appearance, my DMs have been flooded… with dick pics. Tony, can you please stop? I have a wife and kids. Besides, I only asked for one.”
The joke drew some laughs and continued on from there. Other jokes focused on developing an addiction to non-alcoholic beer, and he closed the set with a jab at the show’s co-host Brian Redban.
Hinchcliffe Gets His Turn To Rip On Polk
“That was a fun set,” said Hinchcliffe.
After a bit of banter among the panel, Hichcliffe cracked some jokes at Polk’s expense.
“An interesting fact about Doug is that he’s so good at poker that he’s kind of awkward at anything else. I don’t know if you guys have ever seen [chess grandmaster] Magnus Carlsen talk or anything … none of them really make many public appearances when you’re a freak savant.”
Hinchcliffe’s final joke was more of a compliment.
“Fun fact about Doug Polk is you have about 10 or 15 minutes to beat him in poker,” he said. “And at that point, he’s already figured out where you look, where you blink, what you sound like, what you do, and every single thing that changes. So I know you think that you’d have a chance against, him, but you really don’t.”

If there was anyone who knew about how Polk’s poker skills, it’s Hinchcliffe.
Polk won his way into two spots on the show after Hinchcliffe ultimately lost two heads-up matches against Polk.
Polk’s latest appearance was Hinchcliffe effectively paying off the last of his poker debts.
