Jonathan KaramalikisIt was a ho-hum week for most of the Card Player Online Player of the Year candidates, but one player did stand out amongst the top 10. Aussie Jonathan “Monster_Dong” Karamalikis (pictured right) moved from unranked to fifth place after taking second place in last weekend’s PokerStars Sunday 500 for $64,812.

Karamalikis has quietly put together a solid year with 10 final tables and two wins in rebuy tournaments. He also has runner-up finishes in the PokerStars Super Tuesday and the Absolute Poker Sunday $150K Guaranteed. In 2010, Karamalikis has earned over $300,000 online alone.

The only other significant movement in the top 10 came from Aditya “Intervention” Agarwal, who moved up one spot to eighth place after taking third in the Full Tilt Poker Friday Night Fight. Agarwal has pocketed nearly $280,000 of his own so far this year.

The rest of the top ten is represented by Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek (first), Taylor “ambiguosity” Paur (second), Steve “gboro780” Gross (third), Raj “BadcardsAA” Vohra (fourth), Corey “comandr_cool” Burbick (sixth), William “imahustla1” Givens (seventh), Brandon “AreTheseUtz” Hall (ninth) and Ronald “ronaldgrauer” Grauer (tenth).
