The latest ACR Poker Mystery Bounty Venom events sported $15 million in combined guaranteed prize pools, with $12 million for the no-limit hold’em running and another $3 million for the pot-limit Omaha version. The two massive online tournaments each cost $2,650 to enter. The NLH and PLO events attracted 4,792 entries and 1,238 entries, respectively. Incredibly, one player managed to make the final table in both tournaments: ACR Poker team pro Chance Kornuth.

The World Poker Tour champion and four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner had a shot at nearly $1.2 million in total prize money were he to win both events, but it would not be easy. He was joined at the NLH final table by Poker Hall of Fame nominee Chris Moorman, who is also sponsored by ACR Poker. The WPT champion and two-time bracelet winner came to the final table with one of the shortest stacks, but a wealth of experience in online play.
Close, But No Cigar
Chris Moorman
In the end, both Kornuth and Moorman fell short of the title. Moorman was the first to hit the virtual rail in the two-card tournament, with his A♥J♠ running into the Q♠Q♦ of ‘JasonSpichkin’. Moorman rivered a pair of jacks, but it was not enough to keep his hopes of a title alive. He settled for $71,171 in total earnings, including $5,000 in bounties. Moorman has nearly $13 million in recorded scores, with millions more in online results as well.
Kornuth outlasted ‘litlstitious’ (8th – $128,920) before getting all-in with 9♥9♦ facing A♦4♣. ‘loltaxpayers’ three-bet shoved from the big blind over a button open from Kornuth, who called off his dozen or so big blinds and was in good shape to double up preflop. The board came down A♠5♦4♠8♦6♣, though, giving his opponent aces up and the pot. Kornuth cashed in for $131,395 as the seventh-place finisher in that event.
‘Deltoid88’ came out on top in the end, earning $865,868 after defeating Ivan ‘chickenpastry’ Limeira (2nd – $779,154) heads-up for the title.

Just seven contenders advanced to the final day in the PLO event, with Kornuth sitting fifth in chips when play resumed. He laddered up one spot, but ultimately finished sixth for $57,339.
His last stand pitted A♦Q♦J♣2♣ against the K♠K♦10♠9♦ of eventual champion ‘ImWinninAnyway’. The A♣9♠9♣K♥4♦ runout gave ‘ImWinninAnyway’ kings full to narrow the field to five. Kornuth, who has over $22.2 million in recorded cashes, took to social media to share his results, saying, “Disappointing day, but amazing Venom.”
That knockout helped propel ‘ImWinninAnyway’ to the title. They were awarded $365,192 after coming out on top, with over $75,000 coming from bounty payouts.
