The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand final got underway yesterday with 396 players pony up the €10,000 buy in and 223 make the cut at the end of eight levels of play. Over 360 players have qualified for this event on PokerStars.
Among those who busted out along the way were Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Barry Greenstein, Poorya Nazari, Markus Golser, Constant Rijkenberg, Donnacha O’Dea and Jonas Klausen.
Those taking their chips into day two on Friday include chip leader Lee Nelson (pictured right), Luca Pagano, Annette Obrestad, Sami “LarsLuzak” Kelopuro, Ludovic Lacay, Dag Martin Mikkelsen, Arnaud Mattern, and Johnny Lodden.
