Switzerland is the latest European nation to plan on lifting its ban on online gambling including poker, following hot on the 
heels of Denmark which announced it would do the same earlier this week.
Swissinfo.com says the justice ministry was planning to draft a proposal to grant a limited number of licences to operators of web-based gaming. However, the ban on gambling over the telephone and via TV would remain.
The government hopes to raise $22 million annually from the sector.
