New Poker Tour Planned as Circuit Continues to Expands

Celeb Poker Re-Enter's Live Poker Market Promising New European Tour

Celeb Poker today announced it was re-entering the live poker tournament market with the launch of a new UK and European tour which it says will be “off-the-wall”.

CelebPokerThe company hosted a number of live tournaments a few years ago attracting the likes of Brian McFadden and Teddy Sherringham but stopped to concentrate on its online poker business.

It says it is “convinced that the nation’s obsession with celebrity culture will mean the new poker series will be bigger and better than ever.”

David Donovan, chief executive officer at the company said, "The game’s become too serious. We want to bring back the fun into the live arena. Imagine this: one minute you’re playing against your mates in the pub, the next minute you’re sat next to rogue trader Nick Leeson trying to work out if he’s bluffing. Now that’s what I call poker!"

The expansion of Europe’s live tournament circuit shows no signs of abating with the European Poker Tour continuing to grow, the European Masters of Poker attracting big numbers to exotic locations, the World Poker Tour expanding into the market, and tournaments like the Irish Open continuing to increase their numbers.
