World Series of Poker Europe 2009 Schedule Released

New Event Added Will See Four Bracelet's Awarded in London in September


Harrah’s Entertainment, owner of the World Series of Poker, has announced the schedule for the third installment of the WorldJohn Juanda Series of Poker Europe this September.

The major news is that there will be a new event — a £2,500 pot-limit hold’em/pot-limit Omaha mixed game — which will replace the H.O.R.S.E. event from last year and see the tournament stretch from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1, 2009 at the Empire Casino, London.

The full schedule for this year is:

Friday, Sept. 18, 2009:  £1,000 + £60 – no-limit hold’em day 1A (3-day event/2 start days)

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009: £1,000 + £60 – no-limit hold’em day 1B

Monday, Sept. 21, 2009: £2,500 + £150 – pot-limit hold’em/pot-limit Omaha (3-day event)

Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009: £5,000 + £250 – pot-limit Omaha (3-day event)

Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009: £10,000 + £350 – world championship no-limit hold’em day 1A (5-day event/2 start days) “Main Event”

Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009: £10,000 + £350 – world championship no-limit hold’em day 1B “Main Event”

Last year saw four bracelets awarded with John Juanda claiming the main event, Dane Theo Jorgensen winning the pot-limit Omaha event, Afghanastani Sherkhan Farnood winning the H.O.R.S.E. event, and Dane Jesper Hougaard winning the no-limit hold’em event.
