Belgian police broke up a home game last week arresting 13 players and confiscating €16,000 according to RTLinfo.be.
Police stormed the home game, hosted by a chef in Profondeville, who claimed the police’s actions were completely disproportionate. “They broke down the door. There were 20 of them in the house.”
Players were interviewed by the police before being released while the organizer was brought before a local magistrate who charged him and a court appearance is likely in the near future.
The organizer could face between six months and five years in prison and a fine of up to €51,000 according to his lawyer.
