Gran Casino, Madrid is to launch an online poker room and casino games after signing a licensing deal with Playtech which developed and operates the iPoker platform.
Broker Collins Stewart, which rates Playtech as a ‘buy’, says: "The Madrid region is one of the leaders of Spain’s online gambling regulation drive, meaning the deal also reinforces Playtech’s strengthening regulated position."
Mor Weizer, chief executive officer of Playtech, said: "We are delighted to have secured this agreement with one of Europe’s largest and most respected land based operators. We expect this to be a significantly value accretive relationship, exemplifying our strategy to increase the number of regulated markets in which we operate."
