Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott Sponsors Hull Talent Trail as Performers Shoot for the Stars

Dave DevilfishPoker.com has announced its sponsorship of the annual Hull Daily Mail’s Talent Trail 2009 talent contest in Yorkshire, England with site ambassador Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott appearing as one of the judges in the final.

Between now and the final in May, 16 hopefuls will qualify for the semi-final before the winners move on to perform to a packed house at Hull City Hall.

Ulliott, a Hull native who still lives there, is an accomplished performer himself, regularly wowing audiences at poker tournaments around the world on the piano or guitar with a slick repertoire of songs. He said, ““I’ve always loved performing myself and there’s nothing better than standing before an audience and have them shower you with acclaim so DevilfishPoker.com is very happy to support budding Buddy Holly’s and part-time Tina Turner’s."

This year the event will raise funds for The Echoes Foundation, established by Claire Stockton, whose son Finlay has an undiagnosed brain disorder.

“The fact that it supports a very worthy in the Echoes Foundation is fantastic,” said Ulliott, “and hopefully we can find a new Leona Lewis or Rhydian Roberts. I’ll be helping judge the final so watch out Louie Walsh and Simon Cowell – there’s a new kid on the block!”

Ulliott will be making his usual entertaining performance at this year’s World Series of Poker along with up to 25 players at DevilfishPoker.com.
