BlueSqPoker.com today announced it will hold the inaugural Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Student Championship in November 
2009 in a bid to encourage more student participation in the Tour.
The event, which will take place at the G Casino, Blackpool, looks set to be free to enter and will offer travel and accommodation expenses. Qualification will begin in March on BlueSqPoker.com.
In a statement the company said, “It has become apparent that the big money buy-ins are generally out of reach for the future great minds of our society. Therefore it is time to launch a dedicated (free) event to crown the GUKPT Student Champion.”
The GUKPT is already underway with Bernard Litman having won the first leg in Brighton. Interested parties such as student poker societies can email students@gukpt.com for further information.
