The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour grand final main event sponsored by BlueSquarePoker.com began today at 2 p.m. (BST).
The £3,000 + £150 buy-in four-day event is taking place in the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London, where last year’s champion Mike Ellis will attempt to defend his title.
The event has two starting days of 200 players each. Day 1a has seen a weighty concoction of notable faces taking to the felt including Irish football star Tony Cascarino, Chris Moorman, Ross Boatman, Josh Gould, David Colclough, Davood Mehrmand, Paul Jackson, Praz Bansi, Barny Boatman, Mats Gavatin, Surinder Sunar, Marc Goodwin, and James Akenhead.
More notables will surely take their seats tomorrow for day 1b, the survivors will then collide on day 2 as they get down to the business end of things.
