The €135 + €15 buy in BoylePoker.com International Poker Open 2008, being held in Dublin from Oct. 17 to 19 will see a plethora of big name pros attend as well as some of the game’s top players give free workshops and question and
answer sessions.
BoylePoker.com pros Marty Smyth and Padraig Parkinson are hosting a workshop on final table play followed by a Q&A session from 2:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 18 while Andy Black is hosting a workshop for tournament players including preparation and tips on winning followed by a Q&A session on Friday Oct. 17 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Also lined-up for the 1,200 player sold out event – a record field outside of the U.S. – are Andy Ward, Dave Callaghan, Faiz Kabir, Ian Frazer, Jeff Duvall, Jesse May, John O’Shea, Ken Doherty, Mad ‘Marty’ Wilson, Neil Channing, Ray Panthaki, Rory Reece, Rory Liffey, Ryan Fronda, Scott Gray, Surinder Sunar, Maria Demetriou, and Jen Mason. A number of these players will carry a bounty on their heads.
Irish sports stars from the All-Ireland winning Kilkenny hurling team and Dublin gaelic football team are also playing the event.
The sponsor has added €20,000 to the prize pool which currently stands at over €200,000 and is growing daily due to a unique feature of the event — 20 percent of all rake generated by pre-registered players is being added to the prize fund.
