The Festa al Lago Classic kicked off yesterday at Bellagio with the first of 17 events surrounding the $15,000 buy-in World Poker Tour championship event.
It was a $500 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament sponsored by SpadeClub. More than 180 players competed, and the winner was fittingly an exclusive SpadeClub member. Alcibiades "archiexxx702" Felix took home more than $29,000 and a gold Bellagio bracelet.
All Festa al Lago Classic events are no-limit hold’em. The buy-ins for the preliminary events range from $500 to $5,000, and 
single-table satellites run daily to get in for cheaper. The full schedule can be found under the Tournaments tab on CardPlayer.com.
The main event is scheduled for Oct. 20-26. Super-satellites into the championship will run daily at 1 p.m. from Oct. 5-20 for $1,500.
