Six of the November Nine players represent PokerStars, and the site is offering players a free chance to compete against the World Series of Poker main event finalists in a single-table tournament for a top prize of $100,000.
There are three seats up for grabs, and players can start qualifying Sept. 27 in one of the daily Million Dollar Men Round 1 freerolls, which run at 11:10 a.m., 2:10 p.m., 5:10 p.m., 8:10 p.m., and 11:10 p.m. ET until Oct. 27. The top 300 players in each will advance to the Million Dollar Men Weekly Final.
The weekly final will run on Oct. 4, 11, and 18 at 3:10 p.m. ET. The top 1,000 players in each will get $15, plus a seat into the Million Dollar Men Final. For placing 1,001st-2,000th, players will receive $10, and $5 will go to the 2,001st- 3,000th-place finishers.
The Million Dollar Men Final is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 25. The final three players will win a seat into the Million Dollar Men Main Event and play against the six Team PokerStars WSOP main event finalists. The other payouts for the final are fourth-ninth: $500; 10th-100th: $100; 101st-500th: $50; and 501st-1,000th: $25.
The Million Dollar Men Main Event, featuring the six November Nine players, will fittingly play out on Nov. 1. The first-place prize is $100,000, second place is $50,000, third is $25,000, and fourth-ninth is $10,000. Since the six main event finalists are already guaranteed almost $1 million in the WSOP main event, hence the name Million Dollar Men, cash prizes won by them will be donated to the charity of that player’s choice.
