Dutch Legislators to Tax 'Illegal' Online Games of Chance At 40.85 Percent

Gaming Intelligence Group today reported that the Dutch Senate yesterday passed a bill to tax games of chance. The tax will be set at 40.85 percent. It is not yet clear if poker is to be included in the games to be tax but the bill will target what they consider ‘illegal’ online gaming operators.

It also remains unclear how the government intends to encourage Dutch gamblers to declare income earned from gaming.
