Online Poker: UFman2 Wins Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee

Christian 'charder30' Harder Comes in Second at UltimateBet

Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee

While the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker $10,000 high-rollers event was running in the background, the Full Tilt $750,000-guaranteed event managed to lure 3,838 entrants for a prize pool of $767,600. This represented a three-week high for the tournament and was a huge step forward compared to last weekend’s (Labor Day) overlay with 3,225 entrants.

When the chips from 3,836 entrants were in the hands of two, it was Antoshka versus Steven “UFman2” Burkholder for the first-place prize. UFman2 eliminated his final foe to collect the nearly $136,000 top prize and the title in the event. Antoshka left the table with $82,000.

The final results were:

  1. Steven “UFman2” Burkholder — $135,904
  2. Antoshka — $82,133
  3. yan09 — $53,732
  4. Eric “blizair” Blair — $42,372

  6. smitty2217 — $23,565
  7. HaCeKoMoE666 — $17,655

UltimateBet $200,000 Guarantee

The UltimateBet $200,000 guarantee had 844 entrants last night, which was up from the lower-than-normal 758 entrants of the previous week. UltimateBet plunked down $31,200 out of pocket to match the tournament’s $200,000 guarantee, and the first-place finisher was going to walk away with $45,000.

When it came down to the final two players in contention for the 45 grand, it was online poker pro Christian “charder30” Harder (a guest instructor for the Card Player Pro poker video training site) versus suckinout. Suckinout bested charder30 in the heads-up match to take down the event and pocket the $45,000 first-place payday.

The final results were:

  1. suckinout — $45,000
  2. Christian “charder30” Harder — $27,000
  3. lockdowntex — $18,500

  9. Jonathan “gaman0n” Paul — $3,500
  10. Todd “FLIMSIN” Lewis — $2,000

Bodog $100,000 Guarantee

Bodog’s $100,000-guaranteed event saw 627 entrants buy in. This was, as expected, higher than the Labor Day turnout of 558 last week, and it was in line with the normal attendance recently, which has consistently been in the 600s. Bodog put the prize pool at $100,000 by virtue of a $37,300 overlay, which covered both the first- and second-place payouts. Entrants were basically getting a $159 buy-in tournament for $100.

The players who benefited most from that overlay were Remih and baseline21, who wound up heads up for the lion’s share of the cash. Remih raked in the final pot to bust baseline21 as runner-up, and he collected the $23,600 first-place prize for outlasting the rest of the field in the event.
