The Partouche Poker Tour grand final kicks off today in Cannes, France, at the Palm Beach Casino, and will run until Sept. 7. The €8,500 buy-in main event has a guaranteed prize pool of €2 million.
After 2,460 satellite tournaments and eight super-satellites, a minimum of 300 players will now go in to battle. The last player standing will walk away from this prestigious event with a cheque for €1 million, presented by Eric Cantona.
The head of poker for Groupe Partouche, Maxime Masquelier, said, "In its first season, Partouche Poker Tour has brought together more than 24,000 players in its 41 participating casinos. The grand final is the culmination of 10 months of intense competition and will make someone become the first millionaire from playing poker in France."
