The Bodog Poker $250,000-guaranteed event is tomorrow, and today is prospective players’ last chance to take advantage of Card Player-exclusive qualifiers for the event. Bodog is hosting a qualifier today that is exclusive to CardPlayer.com readers. The qualifier gives players a shot at a cheap seat in the event by overlaying three $270 seats in the $250,000-guaranteed event, which will be given to each of the three final players. Those interested should get money on Bodog soon to ensure that they can sign up for the event.
The qualifier is a freezeout tournament that begins at 4:05 p.m. ET today. The buy-in is $10+$1, and the event has starting stacks of 2,000 in chips. All of the money from buy-ins is distributed in payouts in addition to the three overlayed $250,000-guaranteed seats. The event is called the Card Player $250K GTD Qualifier, and can be found by opening the Bodog software, clicking on the “Scheduled Tournament” tab and then the “Daily” tab, and then selecting the “Private” radio button. The password to register is “lastchance” (all lowercase).
The $250,000-guaranteed event itself takes place this Sunday at 4 p.m. ET (taking the place of the regularly scheduled $100,000-guaranteed event for this week). The $250,000-guaranteed tournament, which has a buy-in of $250+$20, is expected to have a huge value, as the normal $100,000-guaranteed event usually has a $25,000-plus overlay (which is larger than the first-place prize in the event).
