With the Bodog Poker $250,000-guaranteed event just two days away (it will play out this Sunday), players are scrambling to qualify. Bodog is giving CardPlayer.com readers an edge in that scramble with two exclusive shots at a cheap seat for the event. And players need to hurry and get money on Bodog, because one of those two exclusive shots begins at 8:05 p.m. ET tonight.
The site is hosting two CardPlayer.com-exclusive tournaments, one today and one tomorrow (Saturday), an $11 rebuy and an $11 freezeout, respectively. Both tournaments feature an overlay of three $270 seats to Sunday’s $250,000-guaranteed tournament, which equates to $810 in overlays per tournament.
Tonight’s rebuy tournament begins at 8:05 p.m. ET. It has a buy-in of $10+$1 and a 2,000-chip starting stack. Unlimited $10 rebuys are allowed through the first break for 2,000 more in chips. At that break, a final $10 add-on is allowed for 4,000 in chips. The prize pool will be distributed in addition to the three seats given to the final three players (the seats are not taken out of the prize pool). The event is called the Card Player $250K Rebuys Qualifier, and can be found by opening the Bodog software, clicking on the “Scheduled Tournament” tab and then the “Daily” tab, and then selecting the “Private” radio button. The password to register is “3seatrebuy” (all lowercase).
The other qualifier is a freezeout tournament that begins at 4:05 p.m. ET tomorrow. The buy-in is $10+$1, and the event has starting stacks of 2,000 in chips. Like the rebuy, all money from buy-ins is distributed in payouts in addition to the three overlayed $250,000-guaranteed seats. The three finalists in the event snag the seats. The event is called the Card Player $250K GTD Qualifier, and can be found by opening the Bodog software, clicking on the “Scheduled Tournament” tab and then the “Daily” tab, and then selecting the “Private” radio button. The password to register is “lastchance” (all lowercase).
The $250,000-guaranteed event itself takes place this Sunday at 4 p.m. ET (taking the place of the regularly scheduled $100,000-guaranteed event for this week). The $250,000-guaranteed tournament, which has a buy-in of $250+$20, is expected to have a huge value, as the normal $100,000-guaranteed event usually has a $25,000-plus overlay (which is larger than the first-place prize in the event).
