The World Poker Tour Spanish Championship is being held at Casino Barcelona from Friday, May 23 to Tuesday, May 27. It is the last major championship on European shores ahead of the start of the World Series of Poker, which starts on May 30 in Las Vegas.
The event, despite not being televised, is expected to attract a field of solid pros. Last year, the event attracted 226 entrants and was won by Austrian Markus Lehmann, who took home €554,987.
The festival also includes a €1,000 no-limit hold’em event, a €400 no-limit hold’em event, and a €300 pot-limit Omaha event.
