Bwin Poker Revenue Up 38.6 Percent in 2007

Austrian Betting Giant Shows Strong Growth in Poker Revenues


Bwin, the publicly quoted bookmaker and poker operator saw its poker revenue grow 38.6 percent to €82.3 million from €59.4 in 2006 while the fourth quarter saw revenue growth of 26 percent to €21.8 million from €17.2 million a year earlier.

Net gaming revenues from poker grew to €74.4 million, up 49.7 percent compared to 2006.

The number of active customers fell from 708,526 to 509,416 due to the company removing Turkish and American players from its network. However with U.S. and Turkish players stripped out of the equation the number of players grew from 383.800 to 509,416.
