Poker Players Alliance Hires Grassroots Coordinator

Drew Lesofski Will Manage Local Membership Base

The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has hired former Senior Federal Policy Advisor Drew Lesofski as director of its grassroots and external affairs.

Lesofski is a Washington insider. His previous post was in the office of Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons, where, according to the PPA, he handled a diverse portfolio of issues ranging from immigration and healthcare to education and gaming.

Prior to that position, Lesofski worked for the Department of Health and Human Services as part of a team that focused on Native American grant programs. He began his Washington career as a policy aide in both the Washington State Legislature and the U.S. Department of Education.

The PPA has worked to strengthen its local base in the last year, and Lesofski’s job will be to manage this growing part of the PPA.

“As we get closer to reaching the million-member milestone, it is more important than ever for PPA to find new ways to energize and mobilize our members,” said Alfonse D’Amato, chairman of the PPA. “Drew’s policy and political campaign experience will be an asset to PPA as we further refine and augment our grassroots program.”
