Last night’s event in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII (FTOPS) was a shorthanded no-limit hold’em event (with rebuys), and the relatively expensive $300 rebuys promised a stacked field. In all, 1,361 entrants bucked up the initial $300 buy-in for the 12th event in the series, and those players put 2,148 rebuys and 782 add-ons into the pot to generate a total prize pool of $1,287,300, almost 30 percent more than guaranteed.
Of the red-named Full Tilt-sponsored pros, it was Erick Lindgren who went the deepest. He followed up his win in event No. 9 with a strong showing here, eventually finishing in 38th place ($3,862).
True to the stacked field, the final table of the event was also decently stacked, with plenty of notable Internet players securing seats. It ultimately came down to Danny “THE__D__RY” Ryan versus ilikeaces86 heads up for the $257,460 top prize. When THE__D__RY saw his final chip collected by ilikeaces86, he left the table in second place, for $169,923. Ilikeaces86 signed off with the first-place payday, a gold FTOPS jersey and an exclusive FTOPS jersey avatar.
