Full Tilt and UltimateBet Have Big Nights Again

PokerStars Sunday Million

The PokerStars Sunday Million had yet another big night last night, making for the third time in a row that the $200 buy-in version of the even has had more than 7,000 entrants. Last night’s event lured 7,520 entrants to generate a prize pool of $1,504,000. The first-place prize of $212,000 stood to be the biggest payday of the night if no deal was made at the final table (Full Tilt’s $1 million-guaranteed tournament was offering the first-place finisher $207,000).

A deal was made, however, when it got down to threehanded play. The deal ensured that all three players were guaranteed six-figure paydays. With $30,000 (or, as Lee Jones likes to say, “A small Lexus”) still on the line for the eventual winner, it got down to macthemac67 and StudMaverick for heads-up play. StudMaverick landed the final blow to take down the tournament and earn a total of $171,445, including the extra $30,000.

The final results were:

  1. StudMaverick — $171,445*
  2. macthemac67 — $117,784*
  3. BluStarZ16 — $104,819*
  4. spank01 — $60,160
  5. Pier85 — $45,120
  6. goonertone7 — $33,088
  7. MagicCoin — $23,312
  8. Tiwo — $13,536
  9. mariaras — $8,874

* Payout reflects a three-way deal made at the final table.

Full Tilt $1 Million Guarantee

The monthly $500 buy-in $1 million-guaranteed event on Full Tilt had a successful run last night. The prize pool came to $1,126,000 when 2,252 entrants bought in. The first-place finisher stood to earn $207,000, which amounted to the biggest payday of the night after the deal was made at the Sunday Million final table.

Gunning for that huge payday were GulahPapyrus and aaalvin, both of whom were guaranteed at least $127,000 for their troubles by making it to heads-up play. GulahPapyrus raked in the final pot to pocket the top prize in the event.

The final results were:

  1. GulahPapyrus — $206,564
  2. aaalvin — $126,787

UltimateBet $200,000 Guarantee

UltimateBet’s $200,000-guaranteed even had its third overlay-free week in a row when last night’s event had 1,020 entrants and a prize pool of $204,000. This was down from last weekend’s event, which had a record-setting 1,069 entrants, the most the tournament has ever had.

Chpskrwd and HarrisMP duked it out heads up in the event, each trying for the $44,800 first-place payday (which, interestingly, is actually smaller than the $45,000 prize the tournament normally offers when the prize pool is just $200,000). HarrisMP became the final player sent to the rail as chpskrwd eliminated him to take down the tournament.

The final results were:

  1. chpskrwd — $44,880
  2. HarrisMP — $26,275
  3. jps1231 — $18,156

  10. ve6ticata — $2,040

Bodog $100,000 Guarantee

Bodog’s $100,000-guaranteed touranment had just 773 entrants last night, down slightly from the 801 entrants of the weekend before. Bodog put up a $22,700 overlay to match the guarantee in the event.

The final two players were brandx and szdnc, and both of them had their eyes on the $25,000 first-place prize, a $10,700 difference from second place. It was ultimately szdnc who left the table with that extra $10,700 when he took out brandx to become the last man standing.

The final results were:

  1. szdnc — $25,000
  2. brandx — $14,300
