PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Championship Final Table Set

298 Players Reduced to Eight at West of Ireland Tournament


The €2,000 buy-in PartyPoker.com Irish Poker Championship, being held at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Galway, Ireland, has reached the final table with eight players competing for the €180,000 first prize.

The 298 runners built a prize pool of €542,500 and the remaining players are:Frenchman Bruno Fitoussi was the second player knocked out at the Irish Poker Championship

  4. Tommy Watson — 300,000
  5. Bernard Brady — 300,000
  6. Michael Moran — 296,000
  7. Michael McCool — 249,500
  8. Glen McCabe — 150,000

The finalists will play for:

  1. €180,000
  2. €100,000
  3. €60,000
  4. €35,000
  5. €25,000
  6. €18,000
  7. €15,000
  8. €12,000

The tournament attracted a strong field of both local talent and international players including Ambassador of Poker’ Mike Sexton, 1999 WSOP Main Event Winner Noel Furlong, ‘Flying Dutchman’ Marcel Luske, Ciaran O’Leary, Michael Keiner, Robert Williamson III, Padraig Parkinson, Jon Kalmar, Scott Gray, Bruno Fitoussi, Jan Sørensen, Roy Brindley, ‘Mad’ Marty Wilson, Marty Smyth and Steve Wong.

The event is being filmed for broadcast on RTÉ television in February and will be distributed internationally by partypoker.com.
